BAAM: The Bay Area Art & Music Foundation, is a community based Non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich, eclectic history of Bay Area artists, film makers, musicians and entertainers. Our primary focus is educating the youth and public about the many contributions Bay Area men and women have made in the arts and performing arts. Annually we produce and facilitate a variety of community events, art shows, exhibits, film and music festivals, including live concerts and theater productions featuring living legends, while honoring those who are no longer with us.

BAAM utilizes many aspects of the arts, cultures, and history to tell the stories of our local trail blazers in order to foster a greater understanding and appreciation for the Bay Area’s place in American history. This knowledge helps us bridge huge gaps between generations, while promoting diversity and respect between our many cultures and lifestyles present in today’s colleges, school classrooms and international communities.

BAAM is devoted to creating opportunities for all Bay Area students, especially at-risk youth, to participate in free, hands on job training, after-school programs, art exhibits, theater and movie productions, including all phases of live concert marketing and behind the scene direction, in addition to supervision and management skills. Thanks to our financial contributors and loyal volunteers and supporters, we make the future brighter for hundreds of Bay Area young people.

We all have a vested interest in the future success of our young people, and we look forward to partnering with organizations striving towards uniting and uplifting our communities through art, drama, music, film, and spoken word. Because art and music really can make a difference in the lives of all people.
